Known as The Maiden Stone.
An early christian stone. The face bears a rich ornate cross; the reverse beasts
and pictish
symbols.
Details of carvings;
Front: Divided into five panels,
1) Cross & man & fish & monsters.
2) A ringed cross with defaced ornamation.
3) + 4) Totaly faded.
5) Spiral knot decoration.( not shown on this 'photo )
Back: Four panels,
1) Several beasts.
2) Z-Rod & rectangle.
3) A beast.
4) Mirror & Comb.
Both of the edges are decorated with a celtic knot , which have become very
faded
