When approaching Old Westhall ( don't blink or you'll miss it )
from the East side, on the B9002 towards Oyne, turn left at the Kirk and follow
this
road to its end; the stone will be directly in front of you about 100 meters
into the field.
Other Details :
Know as the Gowk Stone ( Gowk: Scots for a Fool or Cuckoo ), about 2 meters
high,
standing on the brow of a hill. Not much to say about this stone; it's typical
of many solitary
standing stones to be found in this area.
The outline of Bennachie in the background is clearly visable. The peak to the
left is known
as the Mither Tap, 518 meters high.
